Bit Information Meaning
15 Communications
failure
For read commands – Read Bits and Read Words – This bit is set
if no response is received to the read command after a timeout, or
if a communication fail response is received to a read.
For Write Commands this bit is set if a communication failure
response is received to the write command.
For a Poll command, this bit should not be set.
14 Startup This bit is set initially, and remains set until the first time the
command executes.
13 Force To force the command to happen immediately regardless of the
current timer value, write a ‘1’ to this bit.
12 Waiting This bit is set when the command is active. For Write commands,
the command delays before sending to see if any more changes
occur. For Read commands, the command delays while waiting
for a response from the remote device.
11-0 Timer When the Waiting bit is clear, this field is either zero, or contains
the time (in seconds) until the command next becomes active. If
this field is zero, the field will be loaded with the configured
delay value at the next update time.
When the Waiting bit is set, and the command is a read
command, this field contains the time in seconds, within which a
reply is expected. If no reply is received within this time, the
Communications failure bit is set.
When the Waiting bit is set, and the command is a write
command, the field contains the time, in seconds before the write
command is transmitted.
