Fig 6.13: Test Setup current monitoring probe
With the CWS500N2 and the built-in Powermeter PM tests with current clamp ( BCI) or with EM clamps are
easily made whatever with or without DUT current monitoring.
In case of DUT current monitoring, connect the 50 output of the current probe to the monitor input of the
CWS500N2. The setup above is applicable for both clamps (current injection clamp or EM clamp). In addition go
to the standard library of the icd.control software.
In such routine the DUT current is controlled and after DUT current is controlled and after each parameter
increment / decrement (routine-step) the measured DUT current is compared to Imax. In case of higher value
the output voltage is reduced until Imax is underbid.

Frequency Sweep
When using an individual frequency sweep, the step size shall not exceed 1% of the start and thereafter 1% of
the preceding frequency in the specified frequency range from 150kHz to 80 MHz thus it will result in 232 steps
in a decade or a total of 632 frequencies.
