A video describing how to properly connect mini-SAS HD cables and mini-SAS cables to a
DPE and a DAE, respectively, in a VNX product is available online at:

Note: The first half of the video shows an example of how to connect a mini-SAS HD cable
to a mini-SAS HD port while the second half shows how to connect a mini-SAS cable to a
DAE LCC mini-SAS port.
Table 38 lists the 3U DAE LCC 6-Gb/s mini-SAS port pin signals used on the connector.
6-Gb/s mini-SAS port LEDs and port direction (input or output)
Figure 64 on page 87 shows the LCC 6-Gb/s mini-SAS port LED—a bi-color (blue/green)
LED next to the connector, either left or right—that indicates the link/activity of the SAS
port. Figure 64 on page 87 also shows a double circle (or dot) symbol
(for input) or a
double diamond symbol
(for output).
