For probe lengths ≥ 3 m a support is required (see figur).
• For GL/ABS approval:
Rof probes ∅ 16 mm ≤ 1 m permissible, rod probes ∅ 6 mm not permissible.

• In the case of bulk solids, as great a
distance as possible from the fillling
curtain is especially important to avoid
wear.
• In concrete silos, a large distance (B)
should be observed between the probe
and the concrete wall, if possibile ≥ 1 m,
but at least 0.5 m.
• The installation of rope probes must be
carried out of carefully. If possible,
installation should be carried out when
the silo is empty.
• Check the probe regularly for defect.
