Installation in a protective
housing
A protective housing, degree of protection IP 55, can be supplied
for installation in dusty or moist areas. Two units can be mounted
inside, see Fig. 5:
Set up the protective housing in a shady spot where the ambient
temperature does not exceed 50 °C, for two units 40 °C, or drop
below -20 °C.
Screw the cover and cable ducts tightly so that the housing does
not loose any of its protective properties.
Electrical connection
Make the following connections:
to the electronic insert,
to the output circuit.
to the power supply,
The fail-safe mode and compensation for conductive build-up on
probes are selected by means of wire bridges at the Nivotester
terminals and electronic insert respectively.
Power supply The instrument is set for the voltage selected when ordered.
Check the operating voltage on the front panel or sticker
Measure the on-site voltage supply
Should the operating and supply voltage differ, do not connect
up: check with Endress + Hauser.
