Calibration with a covered probe
This calibration is possible with a fully insulated probe or isolating
product only.
• Cover the probe to the required switch point.
Capacitance range seekingFind the operational range by proceding as described in
»Capacitance range seeking« on Page 32.
Calibration for minimum
fail-safe mode
If there is no bridge between terminals 12 and 13 of the Nivotester.
Step Procedure
1 Turn the adjuster switch back to zero.
2 Slowly turn the switch clockwise until the red LED lights.
3 When the exact switching position has been found, turn
the adjuster back a half-division.
4 When adjusted, check that the unit is functioning correctly
by filling or emptying the vessel.
Procedure:
Calibration for minimum
fail-safe mode with covered
probe
Calibration for maximum
fail-safe mode
If there is a bridge between terminals 12 and 13 of the Nivotester.
Step Procedure
1 Turn the adjuster switch back to zero.
2 Slowly turn the switch clockwise until the red LED goes out.
3 When the exact switch position has been found, turn the
adjuster back a half-division.
4 When adjusted, check that the unit is functioning correctly
by filling or emptying the vessel.
Procedure:
Calibration for maximum
fail-safe mode with covered
probe
Calibration with a variable level
If it is possible to vary the level, you can also calibrate as follows:
Step Procedure
1 Find the capacitance range as described on Page 32
2 Find the exact switch point with the probe uncovered as
described on Page 32.
- Note the value of the adjuster.
3 Find the exact switch point with the probe covered as
described on Page 33 above.
- Note the value.
4 Set the adjuster to the average of the two values.
5 When adjusted, check that the unit is functioning correctly
by filling or emptying the vessel..
Procedure:
Calibration with a variable level
