What to do if enervent Control Systems supply air is hot - fire hazard?
    • P
      Peter GibsonAug 13, 2025
If your enervent Control Systems' supply air is hot and you suspect a fire hazard, immediately check for any heat sources. Other potential causes include a malfunctioning electrical or water after-heater, or a faulty TE10 temperature sensor. In such cases, repair or replace the malfunctioning components.

Why is enervent Control Systems electric after-heater or pre-heater overheating?
    • J
      Jennifer MurphyAug 17, 2025
If the electric pre-heater or after-heater in your enervent Control Systems is overheating, it could be due to several reasons: the overheating protector might have tripped, the supply air fan could have stopped, the supply air filter or outside air grating might be blocked, the controller card of the heater might be broken, or the heater itself might be broken. To resolve this, first, identify why the overheating occurred and acknowledge the error message. Then, address each potential cause: replace the fan if it's faulty, replace the filter if it's blocked, clean the grating, and remove any mosquito net. If the controller card or heater is broken, replace them.

Why is supply air after HRW cold in enervent eWind Control Systems?
    • T
      Terri FisherAug 21, 2025
If the supply air after the HRW (Heat Recovery Wheel) in your enervent Control Systems is cold, it's likely that the heat exchanger is not rotating. This could be due to a broken or slipping drive belt, or a broken heat exchanger motor. Replace the drive belt, clean or change the belt and the heat exchanger, or replace the heat exchanger motor to resolve this issue.

Why is supply air cold from my enervent eWind?
    • B
      bethany67Aug 26, 2025
If the supply air from your enervent Control Systems is cold, several factors could be responsible. The extract fan might have stopped, the extract filter could be blocked, the ventilation might be adjusted incorrectly or not at all, the heat insulation for the ducts might be inadequate, or the ventilation unit fan speed might be incorrect. Replace the fan or filter if needed. Readjust or adjust ventilation according to the ventilation system design, using appropriate measuring tools. Check and add insulation to the ducts if necessary. Always use the fan speed specified by the ventilation system designer, even in winter.

What to do if enervent eWind water heater coil is in danger of freezing?
    • C
      Cameron MyersAug 28, 2025
If the water heater coil in your enervent Control Systems is in danger of freezing, it could be due to a stopped circulation pump, a non-rotating heat exchanger, a faulty actuator of the water coil’s control valve, or a stopped extract fan. Restart the pump, replace the motor or the belt, replace the actuator, and find out why or replace the fan to resolve this issue.

Why is extract air cold in my enervent eWind Control Systems?
    • Q
      qbowmanSep 1, 2025
If you're experiencing extract air that is cold in your enervent Control Systems, it could be due to a low indoor temperature, insufficient heat insulation in the extract air duct, an open ventilation unit service hatch, or a faulty TE30 temperature sensor. Try raising the indoor temperature, checking and adding insulation to the ducts if needed, closing the service hatch, or repairing/replacing the sensor.

What to do if enervent eWind shows sensor malfunction?
    • M
      matthewrobertsSep 8, 2025
If you encounter a sensor malfunction in your enervent Control Systems, it might be caused by a sensor being short- or open-circuited. You should check the connections and wiring of the sensors.
