Note: Disconnect the system in the reverse order. Namely, disconnect the
system in the order of ④ PV array -- ③ battery -- ② load 2-- ① load 1.
CAUTION: When wiring the controller, please do not close the circuit breaker
or fuse and make sure that the leads of "+" and "-" poles are connected
correctly.
CAUTION: A fuse which current is 1.25 to 2 times the rated current of the
controller must be installed on the battery side with a distance from the
battery no longer than 150 mm.
CAUTION: If the controller to be used in areas of frequent lightning strikes or
unsupervised areas, an external surge arrester must be installed on the input
side of the PV array.
CAUTION: If an inverter is to be connected to the system, connect the
inverter directly to the battery, not to the load side of the controller.
Step 3:Grounding
MSC-N series are common-negative controllers; all the negative terminals can be
grounded at the same time, or any one of them is grounded. However, according to
the practical application, the negative terminals of PV array, battery, and load can
also be ungrounded. Still, the grounding terminal on the shell must be grounded, it
effectively shields the electromagnetic interference from the outside, and prevent
some electric shock to the human body.
