Verify that the IP address is set in the network settings menu of your smart device.
The following screenshots are examples on an iOS device.
• If you do not see [Ethernet] in [Settings] on your iOS device, the network tethering function
of the printer may be disabled. See "How to Change the Network Tethering Settings" on
page 34 to enable the tethering.

f a DHCP server is not used in the network, set the IP address and subnet mask manually.
• To print from the smart device, select one of the interfaces; USB or network, in the applica-
tion.
