Adjustment of the foot angle
(foot rotation)
The adjustment of the angle of the foot is extremely important and therefore it
is suggested that you pay particular attention to it. It has a great influence on
your performance, the likelihood of injury and your comfort. The Ergon TP1
allows the angle to be adjusted both accurately and easily.
The basic position of the feet should be parallel to each other. This is the case,
even if when standing most people’s feet point outwards. The correct position
on the TP1 for this foot position is between the centre line and the Achilles
tendon.
Fine adjustment of this position should be made to ensure that the pedaling
motion feels comfortable. The shoe can be turned slightly inwards or outwards
to achieve this, however the rotation should be no more than a few degrees.
The markings on the Ergon TP1 allow this angle to be recorded as the heel’s
mid point is marked.
