Expert Tip:
Legs are not built the same and there are different builds that require a different
cleat position. To ensure a straight up and down pedaling technique people
with an Valgus leg build (see illustration) should turn the heel slightly inwards,
and those with an Varus leg build (see illustration) should turn the heel slightly
outwards.
Should you have more pronounced differences than those shown, or have any
known joint or biomechanical problems, please seek the advice of a specialist.
They will be able to give you an individual assessment, which is beyond the
capability of this guide.
