FillingtheFuelTank
Makesuretheengineisshutoffandtheparkingbrake
isengaged.Tankmaximumcapacityis2.9gallons.
Note:Usethefuelwindowtoverifythepresenceof
gasolinebeforellingthetank.
Important:DoNotoverllfueltank.Fillthe
fueltanktothebottomofthellerneck.The
emptyspaceinthetankallowsthefueltoexpand.
Overllingmayresultinfuelleakageordamage
totheengineoremissionsystem.
1.Shuttheengineoffandengageparkingbrake.
2.Cleanaroundthefueltankcapandremovethe
cap(seeFigure9).

3.Addunleadedregulargasolineuntilthefuel
reachesthebaseofthellerneckanddoesnotll
theneckofthetank.Thisspaceatthebaseof
thellerneckallowsgasolinetoexpand.DoNot
llthefueltankcompletelyfull.Overllingmay
resultinfuelleakageordamagetotheengineor
emissionssystem.
4.Installthefueltankcapsecurelyandtightenuntil
it“clicks”.Wipeupanygasolinethatmayhave
spilled.

Level
Beforeyoustarttheengineandusethemachine,
checktheoillevelintheenginecrankcase;referto
CheckingtheOilLevelinEngineMaintenance
section.
StartingtheEngine
1.Sitdownontheseat,makesurethe
traction-controlpedalisinneutralandtheparking
brakeisengaged.
2.Disengagethebladesbymovingthebladecontrol
switchto“OFF”.
