3.Cleanareaarounddipstick.Removedipstick
andwipeoiloff.Reinsertthedipstickaccording
totheenginemanufacturer'srecommendations.
Removethedipstickandreadtheoillevel.
4.Iftheoillevelislow,wipeofftheareaaroundthe
oilllcap,removecapandlltothe“FULL”
markonthedipstick.Exmark4-CyclePremium

andviscosity.DoNotoverll.
Important:DoNotoperatetheenginewiththe

2.Liftdeckandsecureinraisedpositionasstated
intheCleanGrassBuild-UpUnderDeck
procedure.
3.Inspectbladesandsharpenorreplaceasrequired.
4.Re-installtheblades(iftheywereremoved)and
torquebladeboltsto75-80ft-lb(102-109N-m).

liftthelegofthespringwiththeloopoutofthe
notchinthedischargedeectorandslidethe
rodoutofthedischargedeectorbrackets,and
dischargedeector.
2.Toinstallnewdischargedeector,orientthe
springontherodasshowninFigure7.Slidethe
rodthroughthefrontdischargedeectorbracket,
dischargedeector,andreardeectorbracket.
