Important:Itisessentialthatalloperatorsafetymechanismsbeconnectedandinproperoperating
conditionpriortomoweruse.
Whenaproblemoccurs,donotoverlookthesimplecauses.Forexample:startingproblemscouldbecaused
byanemptyfueltank.
Thefollowingtablelistssomeofthecommoncausesoftrouble.DoNotattempttoserviceorreplacemajor
itemsoranyitemsthatcallforspecialtimingofadjustmentsprocedures(suchasvalves,governor,etc.).Have
thisworkdonebyyourEngineServiceDealer.
Note:WhendisconnectingelectricalconnectorsDoNotpullonthewirestoseparatetheconnectors.
ProblemPossibleCauseCorrectiveAction
1.Fueltankisempty.1.Fillthefueltank.
2.Fuelshutoffvalveisclosed.
2.Openthefuelshutoffvalve.
3.Thethrottleandchokearenotinthe
correctposition.
3.Besurethethrottlecontrolismidway
betweenthe“SLOW”and“FAST”
positions,andthechokeisinthe“ON”
positionforacoldengineorthe“OFF”
positionforawarmengine.
4.Dirtinfuellter.4.Replacethefuellter.
5.Dirt,water,orstalefuelisinthefuel
system.
5.ContactanAuthorizedServiceDealer.
6.Aircleanerisdirty.
6.Cleanorreplacetheaircleanerelement.

Electricalconnectionsarecorroded,loose
