• - Cover fryers after shutdown to reduce oil contact with air and to keep outside particles out of
the oil
The steps required to optimise the operation of your fryer are shown below, with all the available
options.
5.2.1 Description of the controls
1. Thermostat control
2. Green pilot light
3. Amber pilot light
5.2.2 Switching on the heating elements
• Ensure that the vat is filled up with oil to the MAXIMUM level
• Press the power switch situated on the outside of the appliance.
• Rotate the “M” thermostat control clockwise to the machine connected position so that the light
L1 (green) comes on.
• Then, to turn the appliance on, turn the thermostat control clockwise to the required position,
according to the desired temperature.
• The light L2 (amber) lights up when the heating elements are operating.
• When the oil in the vat reaches the selected temperature, the resistors (by means of the
thermostat) stop working and the L2 lamp (amber) turns off. Likewise, when the temperature
drops below the selected value, the heating elements start to operate, and the light L2 (amber)
comes on.
5.2.3 Switching off the heating elements
• Rotate the M thermostat control anticlockwise to the Off position , the light L1 (green) goes off.
5.2.4 Oil filter system
The oil should be filtered regularly, in order to preserve it better.
Allow the appliance to cool for 10-15 min before filtering the oil, so that the oil cools.
Condensed water at the bottom of the vat should be drained daily. To do so, open the drainage valve
and drain until oil is obtained.
F-E9123: When emptying the oil from the tank, do not fill the basin above the maximum
level indicated.
5.3 Useful tips
Read the useful tips listed below carefully in order to get the most out of your fryer.
5.3.1 Initial cleaning
After installing the appliance and before filling the tub with oil, it is important to clean the tub.
The baskets, the grille and the basket
support should be removed for the first
clean. Then rotate the resistors, lifting them
up at the front and locking them with a
locking bar.
Then, fill the tub with water with detergent, leaving it to boil for a few minutes.
After draining and rinsing the tub as often as necessary to remove all traces of soap, the tub should be
dried.
