Congratulations – You have found the right thing!
The Servo Control you have acquired is a control system that will allow you
to connect and actuate up to four commercially available servos independ-
ently of each other. You may want to use such servos to change the posi-
tion of points for instance, to move swivel water spouts, or to open and shut
barriers of level-crossings and gates of engine sheds.
Servos can be preset either directly through that Servo Control or via an
additional digital control unit connected to it. On doing so, you will be able
to preset up to four hold positions of the servo, its motion rate and even a
rocking function that imparts the barriers of level crossings a very realistic
opening and shutting motion.
Your Servo Control operates like a points decoder and is allocated within a
digital control unit a coil item address for each servo. The coil item control
within the digital control unit will then allow you to move the servos to var-
ious hold positions. Servos can also be preset using configuration variables
(CV) by means of a digital control unit that supports the DCC data format.
