5 FUNCTIONS & FEATURES

5.1 FIRMWARE & DRIVER UPDATE

Update CSL DD firmware and drivers using a Windows PC. Essential for functionality, compatibility, and communication.

5.2 START-UP PROCEDURE

Power on CSL DD by pressing button. Perform start-up calibration. Turn off by holding power button for 3 seconds.

5.3 MODES

Cycle through PC, Xbox, and ClubSport modes via power button. LED indicates current mode. Check steering wheel guide.

5.4 CENTRE CALIBRATION

Manually calibrate the wheel centre position if indicated by 'CAL' flashing. Refer to steering wheel quick guide or PC driver.

5.5 SHIFTER CALIBRATION

Calibrate H-pattern shifters. Follow on-screen prompts for gear positions. Refer to steering wheel quick guide for details.

5.6 TUNING MENU

Access Tuning Menu via steering wheel button. Navigate using D-Pad or FunkySwitch™. Adjust parameters for performance.

5.6.1 TUNING MENUS AND PROFILES

Switch between Standard (core parameters) and Advanced (all parameters) tuning menus. Reset profiles to default values.

5.6.2 SEN (SENSITIVITY)

Adjust steering wheel rotation degrees. Set to 90°, 2520°, or AUTO for game/driver control. Default is AUTO.

5.6.3 FF (FORCE FEEDBACK)

Control maximum motor strength for force feedback effects. OFF disables FF, 100 provides maximum power. Avoid clipping.

5.6.4 FFS (FORCE FEEDBACK SCALING)

Reduce FFB output for consistent linearity. LIN for linear scaling, PEA for peak. Affects max torque output.

5.6.5 NDP (NATURAL DAMPER)

Add damping to steering wheel. Adjust from OFF to 100. Useful for oversteer control and reducing oscillation.

5.6.6 NFR (NATURAL FRICTION)

Simulate mechanical steering feel. Higher settings increase resistance for driving without power steering or wide tyres.

5.6.7 NIN (NATURAL INERTIA)

Simulate steering weight. Useful for lighter wheels. Smoothes Natural Friction on direction changes.

5.6.8 INT (FFB INTERPOLATION)

Smooths and interpolates FFB by filtering game output without detail loss. OFF is unfiltered, 20 is highest filter.

5.6.9 FEI (FORCE EFFECT INTENSITY)

Adjusts overall intensity and smoothness of force effects. 000 is smoothest, 100 is sharpest. Refines harsh signals.

5.6.10 FORCE / SPRING / DAMPER EFFECT

Modify FFB signals (Force, Spring, Damper). Adjust values carefully to avoid center calibration issues or overheating.

5.6.11 BLI (BRAKE LEVEL INDICATOR)

Sets activation point for brake pedal vibration with compatible pedals. Useful for threshold braking technique.

5.6.12 SHO (SHOCK / VIBRATION STRENGTH)

Adjust strength of shock/vibration in steering wheel and pedals. Motors can be used directly by game.

5.6.13 MPS (MULTI POSITION SWITCH FUNCTION)

Configure Multi Position Switch function: AUTO, ENC, CONST, PULSE. Only for specific Fanatec steering wheels.

5.6.14 AP (ANALOGUE PADDLES)

Configure analogue paddles for Clutch Bite Point, Clutch/Handbrake, Brake/Throttle, or Mappable Axes.

5.6.15 BRF (BRAKE FORCE)

Adjusts force needed for 100% brake input with load cell pedals. OFF requires least pressure, 100 requires most.
