SECTION 4 - COMPONENT TEAR DOWN
Water Pressure Tube
The water pressure switch hose is attached to the air dome
on the splash tub.
To remove the pressure tube:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source and remove
the top panel.
2. Grasp hose and pull straight up.
Splash Tub
The outer splash tub is connected to the leg and dome
assembly with three bolts.
To remove the splash tub:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source and remove
the front panel, top panel, splash tub cover, wash plate
cap, wash plate, spin tub, trunion (large or standard),
seal seat, seal head, internal slinger, and water pressure
switch hose.
2. Loosen sump hose spring clamp and disconnect sump
drain hose.
3. Remove all three bolts at bottom of splash tub with 1/2-
inch socket and ratchet.
Drain Pump
The drain pump is located in the front left corner of the
washer base.
To remove the drain pump:
1. Disconnect the washer from electrical source and remove
the front panel.
2. Disconnect the electrical supply terminal.

NOTE
There will be water in the pump, so have a pan or towels to
catch it before disconnecting the hoses from the pump.
3. Loosen inlet and outlet spring clamps and disconnect
inlet and outlet hoses.
4. Remove both mounting screws with a #2 square bit
screwdriver.

IMPORTANT
To prevent the pressure tube from slapping against the side
of the splash tub, the pressure tube should be retaped to the
back sheet with the original tape or secured with new tape.
