Measuring the output voltage
Preparations:
- Eliminate the short circuit in the char-
ging leads..
- Operate the device in open circuit.
- Prepare the output voltage measure-
ment.
- Voltage Test "ON"
To start measuring the output voltage, set
the "Voltage Test" menu item to "ON".
- The output voltage (Voltage) is dis-
played for checking.
A tick appears next to the menu item once
the test has been completed.
If the "Device tests" menu item and its
submenus have been used successfully,
the error "551 - Hardware change detec-
ted" is reset.

Checking of function that also has to be performed
- All housing components, insulation components and protective covers must be
present and undamaged
- Check that all screw connection torques are correct
Switching the battery charging system back on again
- Check the characteristics and settings
- Perform a short circuit test ® like an open circuit, nothing should happen
- Connect charging leads to the wrong poles ® the battery charging system must
indicate polarity reversal
