2 Important notes
2.1 Notes from the manufacturer
The system fulfills the requirements of the EU directives 2004/108/EC "Electromagnetic
Compatibility" and 2006/95/EC "Low Voltage Directive", 2009/125/EC (Ecodesign) and the
directive regarding the restriction of the use of particular hazardous substances in electrical
and electronic equipment 2014/30/EU. Each individual component bears the CE Marking
to confirm this (CE = Communauté Européenne).
2.1.1 For safe operation
This manual contains important information regarding the use and handling of this product.
Read this manual thoroughly. Pay special attention to the section “Note on safety” on
page 19 Use the product according to the instructions and information available in this
manual. Keep this manual handy for further reference.

2.1.2 About this product
The FUJITSU Server BS2000 of the SE Series is designed and manufactured for use in
standard applications such as computing center work, office work, and general industrial
applications. This product is not intended for use in nuclear-reactor control systems,
aeronautical and space systems, air traffic control systems, mass transportation control
systems, medical devices for life support, missile launch control systems or other
specialized uses in which extremely high levels of reliability are required, the required levels
of safety cannot be guaranteed, or a failure or operational error could be life-threatening or
could cause physical injury.
