Operation
Switch the device on
► Press the ON/OFF switch on the front of the device.
The power indicator glows a
nd the device is started.
Switching off the device
► Shut d own the operating system in a de fine d manner. In Windows: via the
Start menu and the Tu rn Off Computer function.

em does not automatically switch t he device into energy-saving
mode or sw itch it off,
press the ON/OFF switch until the device switches off.
Warning, this could
lead to a loss o f data!
If the device is switche d off, the device consumes a minimum of energy.
The ON/O FF switch does not disconnect the device from the mains voltage. To
completely disconnect the mains voltage, remove the power plug fro m the power so cket.
Activating pow
er-saving mode
Due to customer requirements and requireme nts of the operating system, the "Wake-on-LAN"
(WoL) function is set by default. The WoL function increases t he idle current slightly.
In order to meet the requirements of EU Directive “CO MMISSIO N REGULATION
(EC) No 1275/2008 of 17 D ecember 2008 implementing Directive 2005/32/EC”, the
default WoL settings must be changed as follows:
► To start the BIOS Setup Utility after system boot, press function key
F2
.
► In the Powe
r sub-menu, select the Low Pow er Soft Off setting and sw itch it to enabled.
► To save the setting and exit the BIOS Setup Utility, press function key
F4
.
After mak
ing this change, the syste m will achieve the lowest energy
saving mo
de during shut-down.
