4.5 Connecting to the ETERNUS DX/AF
Connect the power synchronized unit to the ETERNUS DX/AF with the RS232C cable.
Two RS232C cables (1m) are provided with a power synchronized unit. If the length of the cable is too short or
three or more cables are required, purchase more RS232C cables.
Up to four ETERNUS DX/AF storage systems can be connected to each power synchronized unit. When power
synchronized units are cascaded, up to eight ETERNUS DX/AF storage systems can be connected.
CAUTION
Do
• When connecting external (signal, power, etc.) cables, avoid placing stress on
them. Not doing so may damage the cables.
Do Not
• Do not forcibly bend or fold the cable. Doing so may damage the cable and
cause the power synchronized unit to malfunction.
