7.2.4 Server Settings when Bidirectional CHAP Authentication is Used
The following operation is required for bidirectional CHAP authentication.
• Enabling the bidirectional authentication parameters
Procedure
1 Enable the bidirectional authentication parameters on the Target.
Example:
To set "iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm0" and "iqn.2000-
09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm1" as the target names
2 Set the authentication method to CHAP on the Initiator.
Example:
To set "iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm0" and "iqn.2000-
09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm1" as the target names
3 Set a password for the target device on the Initiator.
Example:
To set "testtarget00" and "testtarget10" as the passwords
# iscsiadm modify target-param -B enable Target_name
# iscsiadm modify target-param -B enable iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm0
# iscsiadm modify target-param -B enable iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm1
# iscsiadm modify target-param --authentication CHAP Target_name
#iscsiadm modify target-param --authentication CHAP iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm0
#iscsiadm modify target-param --authentication CHAP iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.e2000:00001001-cm1
# iscsiadm modify target-param --CHAP-secret Target_name
#iscsiadm modify target-param --CHAP-secret iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.
e2000:00001001-cm0
Enter secret: testtarget00
Re-enter secret: testtarget00
# iscsiadm modify target-param --CHAP-secret iqn.2000-09.com.fujitsu:storage-system.
