Status displays Description
Num Lock indicator
Indicator is lit: The
Num
key has been pressed. The virtual nume rical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters i ndicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator
Indicator is lit: The Caps Lo
ck key has been pressed. All letters will be output
as uppercase letters. In t
he case of keys labelled several times, the character
printed on the upper left o
f the key will appear when that key is pressed.
Scroll Lock i ndi cator
Indicator is lit: The key c ombination

that this key has varies between applications.
Power-on indicat or
• Indicator is illuminated: The notebook is switched on.
• Indicator flashes: The notebook is in sleep mode (Save-to-RAM).
• The indicator is not illuminated: The notebook is switched off or in
Save-to-Disk mode.
Battery charging indicator/power connector
The state of charge of the battery is shown by the battery indicator.
With mains adapter connected:
• The indicator lights up white: The batte ry is fully charged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is being charged.
• The indicator flashes orange: The mains adapter is connected but
the battery cannot be charged as the battery is too hot or too cold fo r
charging. T he charging process is continued as soon as the battery has
reached a permissible temperature again.
• The indicator is not lit: The battery is not being charged (th e battery is
already more than 90% charged or the m ains adapter is not conne cted )
Battery indicato r
The battery indicator show s the state of charge of the installed batteries.
• The indicator lights up white: The battery is between 51% and 100%
charged.
• The indicator is lit orange: The battery is between 13 % and 50 %
charged.
• The indicator is lit red: The battery is between 0 % and 12 % charged.
• The indicator flashes orange: The battery state of charge is being
checked ( for four seconds after batt ery installation).
• The indicator flashes red: The battery is faulty.
• The indicator is not lit: There is no battery installed.
Drive indicator
The indicator is illuminated: The h ard disk drive is being accessed.
Wireless components indicato r
• The indicator is illuminated: The wireless components are switched on.
• The indicator is not lit: The wireless components are switched off.
