4 Preparation
V CAUTION!
Observe the safety instructions in the chapter “Safety notes” on page 15.
4.1 Removing the server form the rack
Ê Terminate all applications and shut down the server correctly.
Ê If your operating system has not switched off the sever, press the on/off
switch.
Ê Pull all power connectors out of the power outlets.
I Depending on the accessibilty it is helpfully to remove the server from the
rack. If you don’t want to remove the server from the rack then skip the
following section.

Ê Loosen the four knurled screws (1) and pull the server as far as possible out
of the rack.
Ê Disconnect all cables on the rear of the server.
