Installing a LocalView module Accessible drives
Ê Close the server, connect it to the power outlet, and switch it on as described
in the chapter ā€œCompletionā€ on page 81.
7.2 Installing a LocalView module
The LocalView module and the CSS module are an optional extra for the
servers of the PRIMERGY series. On the display panel of the LocalView module
you can read status messages directly from the server. These status messages
provide information on the system and notify you of hardware faults (e.g. fan
failure, CPU over voltage).
The LocalView module and the CSS module can be pulled out like a sliding
drawer. You can also angle the LocalView display panel downward.

The LocalView module can be installed in the 3,5/0,5 inch bay of the FD drive.
I In the following section the installation of the LocalView modul is
described. The installation of the CSS module is equivalent to this instal-
lation
Ê Open the server as described in the chapter ā€œPreparationā€ on page 21.
Ê If a FDD-dummy module is installed it must be removed (see ā€œRemoving a
FD drive dummy moduleā€ on page 41).
