Accessible drives USB tape drive / USB RDX drive
Ê Connect the SATA cable (2) to the drive (see chapter “Appendix” on page 85)
I Carefully push in the ODD module horzontally, so that the EMV springs
will not be damaged.
Ê Push the ODD module into the bay completely.
Ê Close the server, connect it to the power outlet, and switch it on as described
in the chapter “Completion” on page 81.
7.4 USB tape drive / USB RDX drive
I The Installtion of aUSB drive ist only possible for the 6x3,5“ and the 5 x
2,5“ HDD version.
Ê Open the server as described in the chapter “Preparation” on page 21.
Ê Remove the dummys or drives from the two upper bays (see operating
manual in the chapter „hot-plug components“.

Ê Push the tape drive into the mounting carrier.
Ê Insert the 4 screws on the right and left side.
I Use only the delivered M3 x 4,5 screws. Do not use longer screws
because you can damage the drive.
