What You Can Do with ScanSnap Home
ScanSnap Home is a desktop application used for managing images created from documents that
you scanned with the ScanSnap and for managing the meta information of those images (such as
the date and time you scanned the documents and the result of the text recognition for the character
string of a document) for all document types ("Documents", "Business Cards", "Receipts" or
"Photos").

A scanned image together with meta information is referred to as a content data record in ScanSnap
Home.
Managing files in a local folder or a network folder comprehensively
You can comprehensively manage the files in the local folders or the network folders as well as the
images created from the documents that you scanned with the ScanSnap.
Editing scanned images by using ScanSnap Home viewer
You can perform a variety of editing operations (such as rearranging, adding, or rotating a page) on
an image created from a document that you scanned by using ScanSnap Home viewer.
Categorizing content data records by adding tags
You can display the content data records for each record that is tagged or search for content data
records by tags after tags are added to content data records in ScanSnap Home.
Scan recipes with the ScanSnap and tag them by ingredients such as "Meat" and "Fish" or by
cooking methods such as "Boil", "Grill", and "Steam" so that you can search for a recipe with ease.
Performing a particular action on content data records by using other
applications linked with ScanSnap Home
If you add an application to ScanSnap Home, you can perform a particular action on the scanned
images or business card data by selecting the added application from ScanSnap Home.
