12.2 AIS Symbols
AIS-equipped ships are marked on the display at their current position with the appro-
priate AIS symbol as shown below.
12.3 Displaying Target Data
To display the data of an AIS target.
1. Place the cursor on an AIS target symbol.
2. Push the [ENTER] knob to show the target's basic data. The target is marked as
below.
Activated target selected and AIS target data window
AIS symbols
Symbol Description
Activated automatically or manually. The dashed line
shows ship's COG. The solid shows target heading.
Target selected by use for data display.
A target is declared a lost target when no data is
received for three to five reporting intervals. When
this occurs, the target is marked with the dashed tri-
angle.
