4. Operating System and Equipment
Seat guest greeting
Activate or deactivate this function via
"Vehicle Setting Seat Setting Seat Guest
Greeting Function" in the audio system. When this
function is activated:
When the Ignition switch to “OFF” position and
opens the door on driver side, the seat will
automatically move backward to so called
“greeting” position.
When the Ignition switch is switched to "ON"
position, the seat will automatically return to
the original position.
Caution
If the seat position is changed manually after
the seat moves backward to the greeting position,
the seat will not automatically move after the driver
gets on the vehicle
next time and switches the
Ignition switch to “ON” position.
Smart Key Recognition
Activate or deactivate this function via
"Vehicle Setting Seat Setting Smart Key
Recognition" in the audio system. When this
function is activated:
When leaves and locks the vehicle with smart
key, the positions of seat and exterior rear-
view mirror surface used will be saved, and
are associated to the smart key currently used.
When uses the smart key to unlock the
vehicle again, the seat and exterior rear-view
mirror surface will automatically move to the
associated and saved positions.
Hint
The position associated with the key and the
position saved by the memory switch are mutually
independent.
Hint
If the smart key recognition function and the
seat guest
greeting function are activated at the
same time, when the ignition switch is switched to
"OFF" position and the driver side door is opened,
the seat will automatically move backward to the so
called "greeting" position, and when the key is used
for lockin
g, the memory module will remember the
seat position before it moves backward rather than
the greeting position. When the driver uses the key
to unlock the vehicle,
the seat will still stay at the
greeting position in horizontal direction, and move
to the key
associated position in other directions
like the exterior rear-
view mirrors. After the driver
gets on the vehicle
and puts the ignition switch to
"ON" position, the seat will move forward from the
greeting position to the saved key associated
position.
