Compatibility with Other Gatan Cameras and GIF
All K2 cameras are fully supported within Gatan’s industry leading software platform,
DigitalMicrograph and the Gatan Microscopy Suite (GMS). The Gatan Microscopy Suite
gives you access to a wide range of additional applications to make electron microscopy
easier and more efficient.
The K2 camera is retractable and is mounted below the TEM, in a standard Gatan camera
housing, and allowing simultaneous fitting of other cameras, Gatan Imaging Filters (GIFs) or
electron energy loss spectrometers, to cover the entire range of imaging requirements.
The K2 camera can also be incorporated into a GIF, bringing the joint benefits of Direct
Detection and Energy Filtered Imaging, for example in cryo-tomography.
