Appendix B - Settings and Signals
P54A/B/C/E
B192
P54xMED-TM-EN-1
MENU TEXT COL ROW DEFAULT SETTING AVAILABLE OPTIONS
DESCRIPTION
[Indexed String]
This setting determines whether the following operations will occur upon detection of CTS.
• CTS set to provide alarm indication only.
• CTS set to restrain local protection
Note: The setting applies to both CTS algorithms. The settings are visible if CTS Mode is not disabled.
CTS Reset Mode 46 33 Manual
Manual
Auto
[Indexed String]
The CTS block will be latched after a user settable time delay ‘CTS Time Delay’. Once the signal has latched then two methods of resetting
are available. The first is manually via the front panel interface (or remote communications) and secondly, when in ‘Auto’ mode, provided the
CTS condition has been removed. The setting is visible if CTS Mode is not disabled.

are available. The first is manually via the front panel interface (or remote communications) and secondly, when in ‘Auto’ mode, provided the

CTS Time Delay 46 34 5
From 0 to 10 in steps of 0.01
[Courier Number (time-seconds)]
Setting that determines the operating time-delay of the element upon detection of a current transformer supervision condition. The setting
is visible if CTS Mode is not disabled
CTS Time Delay 46 34 5
From 0 to 10 in steps of 0.01
[Courier Number (time-seconds)]
Setting that determines the operating time-delay of the element upon detection of a current transformer supervision condition. The setting
is common for both CTS algorithms. The setting is visible if CTS Mode is not disabled
CTS VN< Inhibit 46 35 5
From 0.5*V1 to 22*V1 in steps of 0.5*V1
[Courier Number (voltage)]
This setting is used to inhibit the current transformer supervision element should the zero sequence voltage exceed this setting. The setting
is visible if CTS Mode is not disabled
CTS VN< Inhibit 46 35 5
From 0.5*V1 to 22*V1 in steps of 0.5*V1
[Courier Number (voltage)]
This setting is used to inhibit the current transformer supervision element should the zero sequence voltage exceed this setting. The setting
is visible if ‘Standard’ or ‘Standard’ + ‘I Diff’ CTS Mode is chosen.
CTS IN> Set 46 36 0.1
From 0.08*I1 to 4*I1 in steps of 0.01*I1
[Courier Number (current)]
This setting determines the level of zero sequence current that must be present for a valid current transformer supervision condition. The
setting is visible if CTS Mode is not disabled
CTS IN> Set 46 36 0.1
From 0.08*I1 to 4*I1 in steps of 0.01*I1
[Courier Number (current)]
This setting determines the level of zero sequence current that must be present for a valid current transformer supervision condition. The
setting is visible if ‘Standard’ or ‘Standard’ + ‘I Diff’ CTS Mode is chosen.
CTS i1> 46 37 0.1
From 0.05*I1 to 4.0*I1 in steps of 0.01*I1
[Courier Number (current)]
Setting that determines if the circuit is loaded. If the positive sequence current calculated by the IED exceed this value, the IED declares load
condition at IED end. The setting is visible if ‘I Diff’ or ‘Standard’ + ‘I Diff’ CTS Mode is set.
CTS i2/i1>> 46 39 0.4
From 0.05 to 1 in steps of 0.01
[Courier Number]
Setting above which a CT failure is declared providing that CTS i2/i1> threshold at any other CT set connected to the differential zone IED has
not been exceed. The setting is visible if ‘I Diff’ or ‘Standard’ + ‘I Diff’ CTS Mode is set.
GROUP 1: SYSTEM
