Door Switch
The oven utilizes a door switch located on the left
side of the door frame that is accessible from the
front. The oven door switch monitors the position of
the oven door and provides this information to the
oven's control board.
To remove the door switch:
Disconnect power to the range.1.
Pull the switch forward to locate the ends of two 2.
spring clips (one on each side).
Insert a small fl at-blade screwdriver on one 3.
of two spring clips and depress the spring clip
while pulling the switch from the door frame.
Insert the small fl at-blade screwdriver on the 4.
other spring clip, depress the spring clip, and
continue pulling the switch from the door frame.
Disconnect the door switch wire harness.5.
Oven Door Hinge Receiver
To remove the hinge receiver:
Remove the side panel. (See 1.
Side Panel Removal.)
Note: If replacing the left side hinge receiver, it is
necessary to remove the air tunnel from the left
side. (See
Bake Element.)
Remove the 1/4-in. hex-head screw that 2.
attaches the lower aluminum plate to the range
frame. (See Bake Element.)
Move the lower aluminum plate to the left, then 3.
tuck the insulation and remove the two T-20
screws that attach the hinge receiver to the
frame.
Note: Upon reassembly, ensure displaced insulation
around oven and components is returned to its
original position.
