8.4.2 Measuring Thickness in Numeric Format
To measure the actual thickness of a pipe, hold the calibrated transducer
steady, press the [
W] or [X] arrow key until you reach the Display tab and
press
[ENTER]. The T-Gauge Display option shows the thickness
measurement in numeric format (displayed in Figure 109 below).
Note: Refer to Appendix D, Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge Theory of
Operation, page 251, to learn how to position and align the
transducer.

Be sure the “Noise” or “Los” (loss of signal) boxes do not appear. Press
[F2]
(Cancel) or
[F3] (OK) to return to Operate Mode, or press the [X] arrow key
to move to another window in the option.
