Nex.er reuse old flexible connectors. Tile use
of old fexible connectors can cause gas leaks
and personal injury. Always use NEW flexible
connectors when installing a gas appliance.
IMPORTANE Remove all packing material and
literature flom oven before connecting gas
and electrical supply to rang.e.
Hax.e your rang.e installed by a qualified
insmller.
Your rang.e must be electrically grounded
in accordance widl local codes oi; in file
absence of local codes, in accordance with
tile National ElecuJcal Code (ANSI/NFPA
70, latest edition).
Be%re installing your rang.e on linoleum
or any other synthetic floor cox.ering, make
sure tile floor covering can withstand 180°F
without shrinking, warping or discoloring.
Do not install tile rang.e over carpeting
unless a sheet of 1/4" thick plysvood or
similar insulator is placed between tile
rang.e and caq)eting.
Make sure tile wall cox.erings around tile
range can withstand heat g.eneramd by
the rang.e up m 900°E
Avoid placing cabinets abox.e the rang.e.
To reduce tile hazard caused by reaching
ox.er tile open flames of operafng builders,
install a x.endladon hood ox.er fl_e rang.e
that projects forward at least 5" beyond
tile flont of tile cabinets.
Tile x.enfilafing hood must be consnucmd
of sheet metal not less fl/an 0.0192" flfick.
Install abox.e tile cooktop wifl_ a clearance of
not less than 1/4" between tile hood and tile
underside of tile combustible mamrial or
metal cabinet. Tile hood must be at least as
wide as tile appliance and cenmi.ed ox.er tile
appliance. Clearance between tile cooking
surface and tile ventilation hood surface
MUST NEVERBE LESSTHAN 24 INCHES.
EXCEPTION:Installation of a listed microwm.e
ox.en or cooldng appliance ox.er tile cooktop
shall conform to tile installation insuucfions
packed with that appliance.
If cabinets are placed abox.e the range,
allow a minimmn clearance of 30" between
tile cooking surthce and tile bottom of
unpromcted cabinets.
If a 30" clearance between cooking surthce
and ox.efllead combustible mamrial or metal
cabinets cannot be maintained, promct fl_e
underside of tim cabinets abox.e tile cooktop
with ,lot less than 1/4" insulating millboard
cox.ered with sheet metal ,lot less fllan
0.0199" thick.
Clearance between file cooking surfi_ce
and protected cabinets MUSTNEVER BE
LESSTHAN24 INCHES. Tile x.erfical distance
