Install the inner seal in the center groove of the
piston. Be sure the seal is not rolled or twisted.
STEP 33

Install the outer seal over the inner seal in the center
groove of the piston.
STEP 34

Install the two wear rings on the piston Apply a thin
coat of oil on the seal and wear rings prior to
installation of the rod assembly.
STEP 35
Remove the rod from the vise.
Clamp the base end of the barrel in a vise or other
holding fixture.
STEP 36

Carefully install the rod assembly into the cylinder
barrel.
IMPORTANT:
Protect the chrome finish on the
cylinder rod at all times. Damage to surface of the rod
can cause premature seal failure.
STEP 37

Install and tighten the gland ring nut on the cylinder
barrel.
