  If your Gehl Compact Loader engine overheats: * Check the crankcase oil level; if it's too low or too high, add or remove oil as required. * Ensure fan air circulation is not blocked or restricted. With the engine OFF, remove any blockage or restriction. * Make sure you are using the proper grade of oil and that it is not excessively dirty. Drain and replace with the proper grade of new oil. * Ensure the exhaust is not restricted. Allow exhaust to cool, remove restriction. * Check the air filter and replace it if it is restricted.

  A noisy hydrostatic drive system in your Gehl Compact Loader may be due to: * Hydraulic oil viscosity being too heavy. Allow a longer warm-up or replace the existing oil with the proper viscosity oil. * Air in the hydraulic system. Cycle the lift and tilt cylinders to maximum stroke and maintain pressure for a short time to clear air from the system.

  If the work lights on your Gehl Compact Loader are not functioning properly: * If a single light doesn’t work, the light bulb may be burned out, or there could be faulty wiring. Check and replace the light bulb as needed. * If no lights work at all, a 15 ampere breaker may be tripped. Check the circuit and locate the trouble before replacing the fuse. * There could be a faulty light switch or poor ground. Replace the light switch.
