· LDAP Mode: Available LDAP modes are Active Directory or OpenLDAP.
· Bind Password: Password used to bind to the directory server.
· Base DN: DN to use for the search base.
The remaining fields come from the NIS schema, defined in RFC2307. They are used to
authenticate users in LDAP. Leaving them blank will use the default value, which is shown
in the picture, in orange.
· User Filter: LDAP filter for selecting users.
· "uid" Mapping: Name of the server attribute that corresponds to the "uid" attribute in
the schema.
· "uidNumber" Mapping: Name of the server attribute that corresponds to the
"uidNumber" attribute in the schema.
· Group Filter: LDAP filter for selecting groups.
· "gid" Mapping: Name of the server attribute that corresponds to the "gid" attribute in
the schema.
· "memberUid" Mapping: Name of the server attribute that corresponds to the
"memberUid" attribute in the schema.
· Enabled Group: Users in this group will have access to unit and permissions based on
Control Group and Admin Group settings.
· Control Group: Users in this group have "control" privileges as described in the
Users
section of this manual.
· Admin Group: Users in this group have "admin" privileges as described in the
Users
section of this manual. LDAP users do not count toward minimum number of required
admin users.
