8.5.1 Programming using GPRS connection
PRiMA6/12 panels may be programmed remotely via
GPRS. In order to configure the system for remote
GPRS programming it it necessary to:
select GSM operator from the list or configure GPRS
settings in the control panel (APN, username, pass-
word),
define SMS remote connect request command (de-
fault setting: „connect”),
define installer telephone (Messaging > Telephone
numbers > Installer tel. number) used to send SMS
with remote connect request.
The computer running PRiMAtool must have a public
IP assigned, and should accept TCP communication on
a port selected in PRiMAtool configuration. When us-
ing a router, a Port Forwarding feature may be used to
forward WAN traffic on a selected port onto a selected
LAN IP. Proper configuration of the network may be
verified by using „IP configuration testfunction, avail-
able in PRiMAtool „Tools” menu.
In case of troubles with successfully completing IP con-
figuration test, it is recommended to seek help from IT
network administrator.
