Apps Descriptions
Email Use Email to read and send email from services other than
Gmail.
Gallery Use Gallery to view pictures and play videos.
Gmail Gmail works with Google’s web-based email service.
Google Search Use Google Search to easily and quickly find what you
need on the web and on your device.
Google+ Google+ lets you to easily share things with people.
Local This brings you to the local search function of Maps.
Maps This is the Google Maps app for Android.
Messaging Use Messaging to exchange text messages (SMS) and
multimedia messages (MMS).
Messenger Google+ Messenger lets you chat with your friends.
Movie Studio Use Movie Studio to edit video clips.
Navigation This brings you to Google Maps Navigation.
People The People app is your contacts manager.
Phone Use Phone for voice call operations. (See Chapter 4 for
more information.)
Play Books You can play digital content through the service of Google.
However, the availability of the service depends on your
geographical location. The app icons will disappear from
the screen if you are in a region where the service is
currently unavailable.
