- Install the specific tool with relevant guard on the
transmission side crankcase half. Use four M6
screws of a suitable length.
- Use a 17 mm Allen wrench to remove the crank-
shaft from the transmission side crankcase half.
Removing the crankshaft
- Install the specific tool on the half crankcase on
the transmission side using four M6 screws of an
adequate length.
- Remove the crankshaft from the transmission
side half crankcase

Removing the crankshaft bearings
- Bearings may be left on the crankcase halves or
on the crankshaft.
- Use the specific tool to remove any bearings left
on the crankshaft.
N.B.
HALF-RINGS MUST BE INSERTED ON THE
BEARINGS BY STRIKING THEM WITH A MAL-
LET.
