PARTS REQUIRED:
x4 3604 Series Omni Wheel (14mm
Bore, 96mm Diameter)
x2 2101 Series Stainless Steel
D-Shaft (6mm Diameter, 100mm)
x2 1309 Series Sonic Hub (6mm
D-Bore)
x8 2800 Series Steel Socket Head
Screw (M4 x 0.7mm, 16mm)
2801 Series Zinc Plated Steel
Washer (4mm ID x 8mm OD)
1611 Series Flanged Ball Bearing
(6mm ID x 14mm OD, 5mm)
INSTRUCTIONS:
A. Insert 1 Ball Bearing into the central hole of 1 Omni Wheel.
B. Place 1 M4 Washer onto 1 M4 16mm Socket Head Screw.
Repeat twice. Then, place them in the holes surrounding the
bearing. Ensure the 16mm Socket Head Screws are placed along
a diameter of holes (2 holes that are on opposing sides of the
bearing). Ensure the M4 Washers hold the bearing in place.
C. On the underside of the Omni Wheel, mount 1 Sonic Hub to the
ends of the 16mm Socket Head Screws. Ensure the raised edge
of the Sonic Hub is placed inside of the Omni Wheel.
D. Insert 1 100mm D-Shaft into the Sonic Hub. Thread the D-Shaft
through so its edge is in line with the heads of the 16mm Socket
Head Screws on the other side. Tighten the set screws on the
Sonic Hub to hold the D-Shaft in place (It will be loosened again
later, so don’t fully tighten them).
E. Place another Omni Wheel on top of the D-Shaft. Place 1 M4
Washer onto 1 M4 16mm Socket Head Screw. Repeat twice.
Then, place them in the holes surrounding the large central
hole. Ensure the 16mm Socket Head Screws are placed along a
diameter of holes (2 holes that are on opposing sides of the large
hole). Ensure the 2 Omni Wheels are oset as shown.
F. Loosen BOTH Set Screws on the Sonic Hub and slide the
D-Shaft downward so that its edge is now in line with the heads
of the 16mm Socket Head Screws placed in Part E (the side with
NO Bearing). Tighten BOTH set screws of the Sonic Hub once
the D-Shaft is in place.
G. Repeat the previous step to make 2 identical assemblies.
