score, or if they’re not in a game you will hear where they are in
the league as well as their win/loss record. If Google Assistant has
trouble providing you with information, try to be specific on a team
name and avoid slang. For example, ask for “Manchester United
rather than “Man U”. If at any point you want to stop hearing results
you can ask “OK Google, cancel” and the Assistant will stop. You can
also ask when leagues start and Google Assistant will tell you who is
playing in the opening game and the date it starts.
If you want to know the current standings you can ask Google
Assistant and it will tell you top teams. You can ask about a
tournament such as the World Cup and the Google Home will tell
you the top team in each group.
There are a variety of ways you can ask for standings, scores and
game times, so play around and see what works best for you.
Stay up to date
If you’re interested in the latest sports news, you can simply ask your
Google Home for any updates. You can ask the Assistant about the
latest sports news or if you know the name of one of its sources you
can ask for the news from that one in particular. The Assistant has a
number of different news sources to keep you up to date and you
can skip through news stories by saying “OK Google, skip”. See page
26 for more information on how to select your source of sports
news or ask for the latest updates.
