Set up and use reminders How to...
There are two types of reminders: Located or time. To create
reminders simply say “Hey Google, set a reminder” and the Assistant
will ask you what you want to be reminded about and when.
When it reaches the correct time, you will receive a notification
on your phone at the same time your Google Home plays a jingle
and tells you that you have a reminder. You can ask “OK Google, tell
me about my reminder” and your Assistant will tell you what the
reminder is for. If you have something that needs doing every day
you can ask Google to set a continuous reminder. You can set these
to be as frequent as you like.
Location-based reminders
The Assistant will always create a timed
reminder unless you specify it as a
location-based one. Location reminders
are useful if for example you were going to
the shops and you wanted to a reminder
to pick up a new shirt, you can ask you
Google Home to send you a notification
when you get near to the store. Say “OK
Google, set a location reminder,” and your
Assistant will ask you for the location.
Unlike time-based reminders, which notify
you on both your mobile device and Google Home, location-based
reminders only notify you on your mobile device, as there’s no point
Google Home reminding you of these.
Delete your reminders
Removing reminders you have saved is as simple as making them.
To delete any reminders you just need to ask your Assistant. You can
be specific on which reminders you want to remove, you can ask
to remove all reminders from a certain date or you can delete your
entire collection of reminders.
