Mark 1.5 inches from the back rail at the center of the frame, and then again at the right
corner 1.5 inches from the back rail and 1 inch from the right edge of the machine’s reach.

Repeat the process for the most frontward reach of the machine. Place your marks 1.5 inches
from the edge of the machine’s reach at the front, and 1 inch from the edge of the machine’s
reach on the sides.

Place new marks each time you move the quilt on the frame. As you grow more comfortable
with the size of your machine and frame, you will memorize the boundaries and no longer need
to apply marks.
