Cutie Frame
1. Turn the encoder lock collar to point up. Then tighten the lock collar screw with the 2.5 mm
Allen wrench.

The lower encoder is plugged into the lower encoder port on the quilting machine or in the
SureStitch control box. See those product manuals for details.

Upper Encoder Installation
• Which setup are you using?
• If you are using a quilting machine that your encoders came with, please see your machine
manual for instructions on installing the upper encoder.
• If you are using the Cutie frame top plate and a domestic sewing machine, the encoder is
installed onto your top plate.

Install the upper encoder directly onto the top plate encoder bracket so the dark encoder
wheel is to the front of the bracket. Tighten with the 4 mm Allen wrench.
