What to do if the Graco Control Unit metering valve fails to dispense when the actuator is tripped?
    • A
      Anthony GrossAug 11, 2025
If the Graco Control Unit metering valve fails to dispense when the actuator is tripped, first, ensure that your operating air pressure is sufficient. Increase the air pressure to 80 psi (0.55 MPa, 5.5 bar) and clear the air line if it's blocked. Also, check for any kinks or blockages in the fluid or air hose and clear or straighten the hose as needed. Finally, check the fluid supply line for any interruptions, clear it, and refill the supply if necessary, and turn on the supply pump.

Why does my Graco 482 Control Unit metering valve fail to dispense?
    • K
      Katrina BellAug 27, 2025
The metering valve of your Graco Control Unit might fail to dispense due to several reasons: the nozzle may be blocked with cured or foreign fluid; the fluid or air hose could be kinked or blocked, interrupting the fluid supply; the operating air pressure might be insufficient; or the internal parts may be worn or damaged. Insufficient operating air pressure can cause the valve to fail. The air pressure should be increased to 80 psi (0.55 MPa, 5.5 bar).

How to fix Graco 482 Control Unit when metering valve fails to dispense?
    • M
      Mary MorrisSep 12, 2025
If the Graco Control Unit metering valve fails to dispense, start by checking the nozzle for cured or foreign fluid and clean or clear the nozzle. Then, observe the action of the needle valve and spring through the vent hole in the valve body while cycling the valve. Adjust the piston stroke. Disassemble and clean the needle valve, if necessary. If the issue persists, it may be due to worn or damaged parts, in which case you should disassemble and rebuild the valve, lubricating o-rings on installation.
