CHAPTER 3 Settings and Measurement
(1)-8 Input
This is used to set the pulse measurement mode. This setting is available only if Pulse is selected in (1)-7.
Selection item Description
Off Pulse input measurement is disabled.
Revol. The number of pulses per sample interval is counted and converted to the number of revolutions per
minute.
Counts Captures the cumulative number of pulses for each sampling interval from the start of measurement.
Inst. Captures the number of pulses for each sampling interval.
(1)-9 Filter
This is used to set the lter for input.
Selection item Description
Off Disables hardware lter.
On Enables hardware lter. It is effective in a noisy environment.
The lter is approximately 30 Hz (-3 dB).
(1)-10 Pulse Slope
This is used to set the slope (direction) to count the number of pulses. This setting is available only if Pulse
is selected in (1)-7.
Selection item Description
H Counts the rising edges of pulses.
L Counts the falling edges of pulses.
Allocation of CH number of logic and pulse data is as shown below.

Bit 0 to 3: Main unit data
Bit 4 to 7: GS sensor data
Bit 8 to 11: Wireless sensor 1 data
Bit 12 to 15: Wireless sensor 2 data
Bit 16 to 19: Wireless sensor 3 data
Bit 20 to 23: Wireless sensor 4 data
Bit 24 to 27: Wireless sensor 5 data
If a remote terminal (GLT400) is connected as a remote unit of the GL840, the logic/pulse input function of
the remote terminal is not available.
