CHAPTER 3 Settings and Measurement
(1) Free Running
The scale of the selected
channel is indicated.
The selected channel is enlarged.
The display channel can be
switched by operating the
keys.
The selected channel is displayed without coloration.
In free-running, you primarily perform the settings for data capture.
You can check the currently input signal in the waveform or digital value.
The information in the screen display is changed by switching the channel.
The operation of screen display can be performed during free-running, capturing, and replaying.
Main operations available during Free Running
Measuement parameters settings The [MENU] key is used to change various setting items in conguration
menus.
SPAN/POSITION/TRACE The [SPAN/POSI/TRACE] key is used to change settings.
Display mode The [DISPLAY] key is used to change the display mode.
File operations The [FILE/GROUP] key is used to perform le-related operations.
Data replay The [REVIEW] key is used to replay the captured data.
Time axis change The [TIME/DIV] key is used to change the time axis scale..
(2) Capturing
Capture destination and le name

The remaining capacity of memory
(Remaining time more than 99999 hours is
displayed as "++++:++:++".)
The captured data is saved in the internal memory (SD1) or SD memory card (SD2) during data capture.
You cannot use the [MENU] key to change the setting.
Operations available during capture
SPAN/POSITION/TRACE change Change the settings with the [SPAN/POSI/TRACE] key.
Screen display mode switch Used to change the screen mode with the [DISPLAY] key.
Replay while capturing The [REVIEW] key is used to replay captured data in two windows at the
same time.
Save to device While data is replayed in two windows, the [FILE/GROUP] key is used to
save data to a device.
Setting check Display the setting information with the [MENU] key.
Time axis change Change the time axis with the [TIME/DIV] key.
