4.4 Installation in the door
Depending on the door material (timber, metal, PVC), different fastening screws must be used
for the installation of SECUREconnect 100; type and length of the screws vary according to the
door prole used.
It is important, however, that the max. screw diametre does not exceed 4.0 mm. The fasten-
ing screws should allow for being inserted through the face plate and SECUREconnect 100
without any resistance.
Ensure that there is sufcient space for a cable loop.
Be careful to not deform the face plate when fastening SECUREconnect 100 to the door (this
refers especially to at face plates).
In installed condition, the tappet contacts of SECUREconnect 100F and the contact surfaces of
SECUREconnect 100R must be exactly aligned, the maximum tolerable offset is 2 mm.
Figure shows installation in timber doors.
In the case of metal and PVC doors, SECUREconnect 100F is fastened by the face
plate screws.
Please consider enclosed installation drawing 0-45733-LO.
